Brut art has been recognized since 1945 thanks to Jean Dubuffet. This term includes all unclassifiable productions, which are "free of artistic culture".
In general, raw art works are made by self-taught artists, possibly marginal but above all free of mind and "out of the ordinary".
Raw art is an art detached from any movement, from any artistic culture. The artists of this movement are bold, inventive and independent.
